SCOUTING THE BEARS
Kitchens leads the Bears' offense with three goals to her credit through seven matches. She netted Mercer's lone goal against UAB, scoring off a pass from Nicole Icen in the second half of the defeat. Ally Fordham is second on the team with two goals while Amaya Evans and Pace Stephenson have found the back of the net once. In goal, Jordyn Ebert has received the decision in each contest. She has stopped 33 shots and needs four saves to reach 300 for her career. Payton Jamieson played in two fall matches and made five saves. Â
SCOUTING THE WOLVES
Wesleyan was held scoreless in its season opener, falling to the Middle Georgia State Knights, 3-0. The Wolves were limited to just six shots on goal. After trailing 1-0 at the half, a pair of goals by the Knights with less than 25 minutes remaining doomed the Wolves. Wesleyan did not play a fall 2020 schedule. The Wolves compiled a 4-12-1 record in the fall of 2019 with wins over Randolph College, Mary Baldwin College, LaGrange College and Huntingdon College. Wesleyan is an NCAA Division III program and competes in the USA South.
