Mercer hosts Chattanooga in Southern Conference action
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team welcomes Chattanooga to the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center for Southern Conference action on Friday. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.

Scouting the Mocs
Chattanooga enters Friday's match with the Bears posting a 7-4 record. This will be their first Southern Conference contest of the season. The Mocs have lost their last three matches. Chattanooga lost to Illinois State, 5-2, in its last match.

In singles play, the Mocs are 39-26 this season. Emma Van Hee leads the team in singles victories with 15. She has 10 this spring in dual matches. Van Hee is playing No. 2 singles for the Mocs. Jessie Young is the top player for Chattanooga and she holds a record of 6-5 this spring.

In doubles action, Chattanooga holds a record of 17-12 this spring. Caroline Gibbens and Van Hee have played six matches at No. 1 doubles and hold a 4-2 record. Jeesie Young and Bogdana Zaporozhets are 5-4 in No. 2 doubles. The Mocs have mixed up their No. 3 doubles team and have had four teams play in that flight.

The Bears return to action on Wednesday, March 24 when they travel to Statesboro, Ga. to face Georgia Southern. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
