Mercer is set to take on UNCG Wednesday afternoon
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team returns to Southern Conference action on Wednesday when they travel to Greensboro, N.C. to face UNCG. The match is set to start at 12 p.m.

Scouting the Spartans
UNCG enters the match with a record of 5-7 on the season and a 1-5 mark in conference play. The Spartans have lost their last three matches with the last win coming on March 31st with a win over Appalachian State. On Monday, UNCG was defeated by Chattanooga, 6-1.
On the season, the Spartans are 30-41 as a team in singles play. Sophia Adams and Brianna Gomez have played No. 1 singles. Adams is 2-5 in the position, while Gomez is 1-4. Hanna Giddings leads the team with eight wins, seven of those wins came as in No. 3 singles.
In doubles play, UNCG has used eight different doubles team this season and hold a record of 8-27 in doubles matches. Hanna Giddings and Sophia Adams lead the team with three wins, all coming in No. 1 doubles. Tayah Cross and Emily Ory are next in line with two wins.

The Bears return to action on Friday and Sunday at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. Mercer takes on Samford at 3 p.m. Friday before closing the regular season against Western Carolina at 2:30 p.m.
