Mercer to Travel to Tennessee

The Mercer Bears will travel to the East Tennessee State University and University of Tennessee Chattanooga this weekend.
Macon, GA - The Mercer volleyball team will be on the road this weekend after being home against WCU and UNCG. With only six games of regular conference play left, Mercer sits in the second spot in serving aces in the SoCon.

NOTABLE BEARS
- Annie Karle leads the team in kills this season and is ranked third in the SoCon for kills and averages 3.79 kills per set. Karle was named SoCon Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 13).Â
- Kiera McCarles has continued to dominate this season with 692 assists so far this season. She ranks fifth in the conference averaging 8.65 assists per set.Â

SCOUTING THE BUCS
Eastern Tennessee State is ranked number one in the conference with a 9-1 record. This will be the 36th meeting between the two teams. The Bucs house multiple big players including two-time SoCon setter of the week (Sept. 20/27) Caroline Dykes and defensive player of the week (Sept 13)Whitley Rammel.Â
SCOUTING THE MOCS
Chattanooga is ranked fourth in the conference with a 6-4 record this year. UTC ranks fourth in hitting percentage and second in blocks for the SoCon. The Mocs hold offensive player of the week (Oct. 25) Natalie Tyson and two-time defensive player of the week (Sept. 20/Oct. 18)Paige Gallentine.Â
