MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's basketball program returns home to face Kennesaw State on Friday, December 2 at 7 p.m. in Hawkins Arena. Mercer leads the all-time series against the Owls, 19-6, including wins in the last 10 meetings.

SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
The Owls are led by fourth-year head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim. KSU was picked to finish eighth in the ASUN Conference coaches poll and sixth in the media poll.
Kennesaw State is currently 4-3 with wins over LaGrange, Brewton-Parker, Southeastern Louisiana, and Appalachian State. The losses came against Florida, Campbell, and VCU. In the most recent game against VCU, the Owls led for 38 minutes before being outscored by the Rams 14-4 in the final five minutes.
KSU returned all five of last year's starters, including Chris Youngblood who was named to the 2022-23 Preseason ASUN All-Conference Team. The Owls also brought in transfer guard Quincy Ademokoya from Temple who has been appearing off the bench so far this season.

The Bears recently finished 2-1 an the Hostilo Hoops Community Classic in Savannah, Georgia.
Mercer opened the tournament with a win over Robert Morris, 72-66, in which the Bears led for over 39 minutes. The lead extended as high as 17 points, aided by the best free throw percentage of the season thus far for the Bears (82.6%).
On Saturday, Mercer claimed its second win of the tournament against Fairfield, 60-58. David Craig recorded his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Bears withstood late pressure from the Stags to earn the fourth win of the season.
In the tournament closer, Mercer fell just short against a talented Towson team, 70-60. Both teams logged scoring runs, but Towson took a double-digit lead heading into the final minutes of the game to keep the Bears at bay.
