Bears to visit Annapolis, take on Navy
MACON, Ga. – After two home games, Mercer will make their way north to Annapolis to take on Navy in the first contest away from the friendly confines of Five Star Stadium. This is the first of two trips to Maryland for the Bears this season, the second coming in March. Â

Series History
This is the first-ever meeting between Mercer and Navy.
Scouting Mercer
In their last time out, two attackers – Sean Goldsmith and Carl Klepper – led the scoring against Bucknell with four goals apiece in the 16-14 setback. Faceoff specialist Ashton Wood, a preseason all-SoCon selection, split the faceoffs from a week ago in addition to tallying an assist. Through both games in the cage, Collin Kelley has turned away 19 shots from the opposition.
As a team, Mercer's 60.4% on faceoff wins ranks sixth in the country.
Scouting Navy
The Midshipmen enter the contest off an opening loss to Mount St. Mary's a week ago.  Navy's offense primarily came from two midfielders – Patrick Skalniak and Dane Swanson – both credited with identical performances of three goals and a pair of assists. Pat Ryan, the junior goalkeeper, saved sixteen shots while being charged with the loss. The Midshipmen fired off 50 shots, with 30 being on goal on Mount St. Mary's, but only could get nine in the opposing cage.
