Air Force takes a 13-10 contest

MACON, Ga. – The visiting Falcons from the Air Force Academy used a six-goal fourth to pull away from Mercer on Saturday afternoon at Five Star Stadium.

Matt Winegardner led Mercer (3-6) with a hat trick while Khory Reid tallied two goals and Sean Goldsmith posted a goal and an assist. Cole Leggett, Ben Lever and Logan Tucker each added one. Lever's score was his first of his career.

The first three quarters were back-and-forth that included neither team holding a lead of more than two.

In addition to tallying an assist, Garrett LeClaire caused three turnovers – which led the home squad. Wes Chairs led Mercer with six ground balls.

Colllin Kelley stopped 13 shots while in the cage for the entire 60 minutes. The Bears carried a perfect clearing percentage, going 13-for-13 on the afternoon.
