Bears to visit 19th-ranked Spiders for SoCon Tilt
RICHMOND, Va. – Following its first league win of the season, Mercer will face its third consecutive opponent this season from Virginia, when they visit Richmond on Saturday.

Series History
Mercer and Richmond will meet for the ninth time on Saturday, with the Spiders holding the 7-1 series lead. Last season, Mercer fell to the Spiders at Five Star Stadium by a 21-8 margin. The Bears will also be looking for their first-ever road win against Richmond.
Scouting Mercer
Mercer snapped a four-game skid last week in a 22-8 win over Hampton in the first home league game of the season and were led offensively by Taylor Dooley's seven points. Sean Goldsmith's 41 points from 28 goals and 13 assists paces Mercer offensively. Luke Sadd is actively leading the team in faceoffs won with 39. Defensively, Garrett LeClaire has forced 15 turnovers from opponents this season.
Scouting Richmond
Richmond – checking in at 19 in the rankings – fell last week to No. 12 Jacksonville by a 13-11 margin on the road. Ryan Lanchbury leads the Spiders' offense with 52 points on 25 goals and 27 assists this season, including four goals and two helpers against the Dolphins. Jared Chenoy leads in the faceoff circle with 110 wins while Jake Saunders paces UR with 16 caused turnovers. Â
