Mercer falls to VMI, 13-10
LEXINGTON, Va. – Sean Goldsmith tallied six points on four goals, including his 100th to lead the Bears in the SoCon opener, falling to VMI by a 13-10 scoreline.
In addition to Goldsmith's contributions, Cole Leggett and Taylor Dooley both scored twice while Carl Klepper and Nick Rockefeller each added one. Parker Junod, Garrett Leclaire, Leggett and Nick Rockefeller added an assist, while Daniel Shumake contributed two.
Luke Sadd paced Mercer with four groundballs, while Goldsmith and Connor Purcell each claimed three. Goldsmith additionally led the Bears with 12 shots.
