Second Duel with the Dolphins

MACON, Ga. – In the final road game of the season, Mercer will trek down to Florida for a rematch with seventh-ranked Jacksonville in a SoCon matchup. These two sides met in a neutral, nonconference fracas back in February.

Series History
Mercer and Jacksonville will meet for the 13^th time tomorrow with the homestanding Dolphins holding the 10-2 advantage in the series. Back in February, the Dolphins used a nine-goal second frame to pull away from Mercer with a 21-12 win. Sean Goldsmith led the Orange & Black with a hat trick. This will be the final meeting as SoCon foes as both will be joining the ASUN for the 2023 season.

Scouting Mercer
Mercer fell short on the road to Richmond by a 22-9 score in their last time out. Goldsmith's hat trick paced the Mercer offense last Saturday against the Spiders. Additionally, Goldsmith leads the Bears' offense with 45 points from 31 goals and 14 assists. In the faceoff circle, Ashton Wood's 99 wins leads Mercer. Colin Kelley has made 152 stops in over 718 minutes in between the pipes.

Scouting Jacksonville
The Dolphins come into the matchup ranked seventh and have won seven in a row, including going 4-0 against SoCon opposition. Max Waldbum is pacing the Jacksonville offense with 63 points on 43 goals and 20 assists while Jacob Greiner's 58 points from 46 goals and a dozen assists follows. Nathan Kapp has been leading Jacksonville in the faceoff circle, winning 180 on the season and leads the team with 82 ground balls. In net, Luke Millican has stopped 121 shots in nearly 628 minutes of action.
