SCOUTING FLORIDA STATE
The Seminoles began the season with a 6-1 win against Florida Gulf Coast on Friday afternoon. FSU won all three doubles courts and earned five singles points led by Anna Arkadianou on court one. Arkadianou, the 52nd-ranked singles player in the country, is the only Seminole in the ITA rankings from the conclusion of the fall season.

Florida State finished eighth in the 2022 regular season ACC standings with a 15-11 overall record and 6-7 record in the conference. The Seminoles were ranked No. 33 in the final ITA rankings last season and open this season outside of the top 25.

RECENT ACTION
Mercer opened the season on the road against Kennesaw State, falling 4-3 in a close match. The Bears took the doubles point after Mary Weston Courville/Teodora Ristic won on court one and Kristin Yordanova/Marina de Diego Quinones won on court three.

The score improved to 2-0 as de Diego Quinones claimed the first singles point for the Bears on court five. Ristic also played to a singles win on court one. The match was tied 3-3 with Camilla Ciaccia battling Sofia Pinedo for the deciding point on court four. Ciaccia fell 7-5 in the third set as the Owls won the season opener.
