Men’s Tennis Picks Up Doubles Win On Last Day Of Southern Championships

ATHENS – Mercer's tandem of Marceau Fouilhoux and Nemanja Stefanovic toughed out an 8-6 victory over Georgia's Miguel Perez Peña and Filipe Costa to close out the Georgia-hosted Southern Intercollegiate Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Magill Tennis Complex.

Singles play on Sunday morning was not as kind to the Bears as Samuel MacLeod dropped a straight-sets matchup against Jacksonville State's Alin Fatu, while Nemanja Stefanovic and Marceau Fouilhoux both fell in three sets to Clemson's Matt Pitts and Georgia's Niels Ratiu, respectively.

The Orange & Black will be back in action again next weekend, Oct. 6-8, when they suit up to host the Mercer Gridiron Classic at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
