MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer team travels to Charleston, South Carolina to take on The Citadel Sunday afternoon in its final regular season game of the year.

Freshman Maria Karipidis scored the lone goal for the Bears on the afternoon. He goal came on a penalty kick in the 88th minute after fellow freshman Larkin Thomason was fouled in the box. It was Karipidis' second career goal.

The Citadel enters Sunday's game looking for its first conference win of the season. It's two ties in conference play came against Furman and Wofford.
The Citadel has scored just seven goals in SoCon play which is third fewest in the conference. The Bulldogs are last in the SoCon in shots per game at 6.86 per game.
The Citadel's leading goal scorer's are Ariana Paez and Grace Duncan who each have three goals on the year.
