Jalyn McCreary Named Preseason All-SoCon

Bears picked sixth in coaches, seventh in media poll
The Mercer men's basketball team was picked to finish sixth in the preseason coaches poll and seventh in the media poll.
McCreary is entering his second season with the Bears. The redshirt senior forward was excellent for the Bears last season, as he led the team in scoring at 15.2 points per game on the way to being named All-SoCon Third Team. McCreary was also efficient from the floor as he shot 54.7 percent from the field which ranked fifth in the conference.
Mercer opens up its 2023-24 season at home on November 6 at 7 p.m. when Clark Atlanta comes to Hawkins Arena.
