MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer team visits ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee in a SoCon tournament quarterfinal matchup Friday evening at 4 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Mercer leads the all-time series 14-5-4. The Bears won the regular season meeting in Macon, 1-0 with a goal from Keelin Pray.

This is the second consecutive season in which Mercer and ETSU will meet in the SoCon tournament quarterfinals. Mercer won 3-2 in penalty kicks last year.
LAST TIME OUT
Lena Dykes scored the game-winning goal in the 21st minute and the Mercer women's soccer team shut out The Citadel 1-0 in the First Round of the SoCon Tournament Tuesday night at Betts Stadium.
Dykes scored in the 21st minute off a corner kick from Kendall Cook. The Citadel goalie got a hand on Dykes' header but couldn't keep it out of her net as the Bears claimed the early 1-0 lead.
It was just Dykes' second goal of the season as the defender also has three assist on the year. For Cook, it was her seventh assist of the season, tying her with Jada Moorman for the most assists on the team.
SCOUTING ETSU
ETSU enters Friday's game having been defeated just twice this season, as Mercer and Tennesse are the only two teams to defeat the Bucs this season. ETSU is undefeated at home this season with a 7-0-2 mark.
ETSU has the SoCon Defensive Player and Freshman of the Year in goalkeeper Ashton Blair and freshman forward Reagan Fitzgerald who had three goals on the season for the Bucs.
Blair had an outstanding season in goal for the Bucs, allowing just eight goals in 15 games to lead the conference and rank tied for 10th in the country in goals against average.
ETSU is fifth in the SoCon in shots per game at 12.38 where as the Bears lead the SoCon at 16.85 shots per game.
The Bucs have relied on its defense and goalkeeping this season, as only one player has more than seven points on the season. Junior midfielder Sinoxolo Cesane is ETSU's most dangerous threat going forward as she leads the team with six goals and 13 points.
