MACON, Ga. –The Mercer Men's soccer team will travel to Johnson City, Tennessee to battle East Tennessee State in Summer-Taylor Stadium at 7 p.m. EST.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
This will be the 25th meeting between these two programs. Mercer is 10-8-6 against ETSU. When these two programs met last year, Mercer took the first match 3-2 on October 29, 2022. A week later, the Bears would meet the Bucs in the Southern Conference semifinals, defeating them 1-0 after 90 minutes.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEARS
Mercer moved to 5-4-7 on the season following a 1-0 loss to North Florida. The first half would have many opportunities for both the Bears and the Ospreys, however, neither was able to find the back of the net prior to halftime. The best opportunity for the Bears came in the 74th minute when Carlos Santamaria struck the ball outside the 18-yard box and hit the crossbar. However, in the 77th minute the Ospreys would score the lone goal of the afternoon, increasing their lead to 1-0 with 15-minutes remaining. Following the goal, the Bear began to pressure more leading to more shots, however they could not find the back of the net.
SCOUTING ETSU
East Tennessee State will ride a 5-match win streak into Saturday's contest with Mercer, and are at the top of the table in the SoCon standings with an unbeaten mark of 3-0-1. The Bucs are 8-5-2 overall, and boast an early season non-conference win over Georgia Southern, as well as narrow 1-goal losses to both Kentucky and North Carolina. ETSU has not yielded a goal in four previous SoCon matchups, and have surrendered a league-low 11 goals overall this season.
