Men’s Soccer Welcomes Georgia State For Battle of I-75

MACON, Ga. –The Mercer Men's soccer team will welcome Georgia State to Betts Stadium in Macon, Georgia on Wednesday, October 4 at 7 p.m. ET.

SERIES HISTORY | LAST MEETING
This will be the 63rd meeting between these two programs. Mercer is currently 18-39-5 against Georgia State. The last time these two programs met, the match would end in a 1-1 draw. The Bears would strike first in the 81st minute off the head of Chad Eldridge, however the Panthers would storm back in the 88th minute and find the back of the net forcing the game to end in a draw.

Barzee Blama would strike first for the Bears when he would bury a shot in the bottom corner off a batted down cross. Nick Wanzer would find the back of the net off his head in the 24th minute off a ball played by Carlos Santamaria. In the 28th minute, Angel Gonzales would bury a ball played from William Pondeca into the bottom corner of the goal. The Bears would lead 3-0 heading into halftime. VMI would score in the 50-minute. The Bears would storm back a minute later in the 51st minute, off the head of Barzee Blama completing his brace. The Bears would score one last time in the 79th minute off the right foot of Ehi Aimiuwu.Â
