SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T
North Carolina A&T is coming off an 18-12 season in 2022-23. The Aggies went 12-6 in conference play. The Aggies were picked to finish 8th in the 14-team Coastal Athletic Conference (CAA) in the preseason media poll.
This season, North Carolina A&T is 3-4, with with two of those losses coming to Power 5 teams in Georgia and Louisville. The Aggies also earned a Power 5 win over Wake Forest in a 56-51 win. The Aggies are 2-0 at home so far this season.
North Carolina A&T is averaging 66.6 points per game and is allowing just 64.3 per game. They are shooting from 41.3 percent from the field which ranks sixth in the CAA. The Aggies have done a good job of getting to the free throw line where they average 15.6 made free throws per game, third most in their conference.

Senior guard Maleia Bracone was named to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team. Bracone currently leads the Aggies in scoring at 12.1 points per game. She also has a team best 18 steals on the defensive end.
The Aggies have been getting balanced scoring as in addition to Bracon, three other players are averaging double figures in scoring in Chaniya Clark (11.0 ppg), Jordyn Dorsey (11.0 ppg), and D'Mya Tucker (10.4 ppg).
LAST TIME OUT
Mercer trailed by just two points at halftime, but an uneven third quarter prevented the Bears from earning a win over Georgia Tech Tuesday night as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Bears 73-60.
After an overall solid first 20 minutes, mistakes and turnovers in the third quarter hurt Mercer's chances of pulling out the win.
Mercer shot 25-for-60 (41.7%) from the field. Mercer's leading scorer Deja Williams made five of Mercer's seven three-pointers on the night. Williams finished with 17 points and was 5-for-10 from behind the arc.
