Bears drop to 4-4
FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Mercer women's tennis program (4-4) dropped its match against FGCU (7-2), 6-1, on Saturday morning at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
The Bears nearly won the doubles point after Eden Schlagenhauf/Camilla Ciaccia won on court two. Mary Weston Courville/Teodora Ristic remained on serve on court one, but fell 6-4.
Ristic won the lone point for the Bears with a straight-set singles victory on court two 6-4, 6-3. This is the senior's fourth singles win of the season. Schlagenhauf dropped her first set in a tiebreak and could not force a third set.
UP NEXT: Mercer returns home for a midweek matchup against Georgia College on Wednesday, February 22 at 3 p.m.
