
Bears Welcome Lipscomb for Saturday Match

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis program is set to host Lipscomb this Saturday, February 25 at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center at 10 a.m. looking for a second-straight win after beating Georgia College on Wednesday.

RECENT ACTIONÂ
The team handed Georgia College its first loss of the season as the Bears took a 4-3 victory on Wednesday. All three doubles teams left the courts victorious. Mary Weston Courville and Teodora Ristic took a big 6-4 win over Emma Fleming and Chiara Santoro, giving the Bobcat duo their second loss of the season as partners. Courville also had a big day at the second singles slot, defeating Jada Young 7-5, 6-2 to put the first loss on her record this season. Ristic and Marina de Diego Quinones also claimed singles victories over GCSU.

SCOUTING GEORGIA COLLEGEÂ
Lipscomb is coming off a 3-4 loss to MTSU on Sunday. The team has defeated North Dakota, Alabama A&M and Georgia State while losing to Western Kentucky, Murray State, ETSU and most recently MTSU. Mercer also defeated Alabama A&M and Georgia State by similar scores earlier this season.Â

Sasha Dobranos is 6-1 so far this season at the first singles slot with her only loss being to ETSU in the beginning of the month. Sofia Paladi is 5-2 so far only having lost to MTSU and Murray State. Dobranos and Paladi teamed up at the first doubles slot in the beginning of the season but have since been rotated around with various players. No pair in the first doubles slot has managed to pick up a win so far this season. Â
