
Men’s Tennis to Host Seven-Time SoCon Champs ETSU

Bucs undefeated in SoCon matches since 2015
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis program will open Southern Conference play on Thursday, March 16 at 1 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center against ETSU. The Buccaneers have never lost a SoCon match since becoming members in 2015.

SCOUTING ETSU
The Bucs have remained undefeated in Southern Conference play since joining the league in 2015 and are 3-0 this season after defeating Samford, UNCG and Wofford. The team lost the first eight matches of the season but has since won six-straight. ETSU

Dimitri Badra, who primarily plays on court one for singles, is 8-4 for this season and is on a six-match winning streak since his last loss against Alabama on February 17. Thiago Pernas has also been successful as he has maintained the second singles slot for most of this season posting a 7-4 record.

Pedro Cressoni and Francisco Lamas have played at the doubles two and three slot together and are 6-4 this season and 3-0 in conference play.Â

RECENT ACTION
The Bears are coming off a tough loss to Troy after playing without two primary pieces of the lineup. Mercer took two points against the Trojans, including the doubles point won by Mariano Argote/Samuel MacLeod on court one and Andrew Branicki/Samuel Barrow on court two. Marceau Foulihoux picked up his 10th singles victory of the year on court five.
