MACON,Ga. – The Bears defeat UNC Greensboro this afternoon coming back from a five run deficit in the seventh inning.

How It Happened
    UNCG was on the board first and sat the Bears down in order to finish out the first 1-0. The Spartans juiced the bases on two outs and the Bears were able to hold all three on. Kylie Helm homered to start the bottom of the second ; it was her eighth of the season. Avery Barton doubled to left center and advanced to third with a solid hit to left field from Kassidy Moore. Barton stole home and put the Bears leading 2-1 going into the third. UNCG tied in the top of third with a homer.
    Helm homered for the second of the day to put the Bears leading 3-2 at the end of the third. The Spartans retaliated with a home run to tie at 3. Rebeca Laudino reached on an error in the bottom of the fifth, but was left on. Not much happened for either team in the sixth. The Spartans recorded four runs on three hits to take a 7-3 lead. Grace Prom was hit by a pitch to start the seventh. She was brought home with a home run from Morgan Hall. Hall was advanced by a Laudino bunt single. Both were advanced into scoring position by Bailey Ledvina.
Tori Hedgecock homered over center field to bring the Bears to a 8-3 victory.

Up Next
    The Bears will finish their last home stand tomorrow, April 29. The doubleheader will start at 12 p.m. with senior day activities to commence after the completion of the second game.
