MACON, Ga. –The Mercer Men's soccer team will travel to Rock Hill, South Carolina on Saturday, September 16 to battle Winthrop at 4 p.m. ET at Eagle Field.

Mercer moves to 3-1-2 on the season, while the Bradley University moves to 4-0-2 on the season. Graduate midfielder Omar Hernandez would start the scoring off for the Bears in 37th minute when he would receive a ball from Nick Wanzer and curl it around two Bradley defenders to find the top left corner. Hernandez goal would mark his second of the season. However, Bradley would equalize in 53rd minute and the game would end in a draw.
SCOUTING WINTHROP
Last season Winthrop finished 3-13-1 and went 2-5-1 in the Big South Conference play.
Throughout four game this season, the Eagles are 1-3 coming off a 0-1 loss against Furman University. The Eagles have played many tough opponents and started their 2023 season with a 2-0 win against Coastal Carolina. Winthrop was selected to finished seventh in an eight-team Big South Conference.
