Men's Soccer Dominates on the Road at Winthrop

MACON, Ga. –The Mercer Bears would dominate on the Road against Winthrop, winning 4-0 at Eagle Field in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Mercer moves to 4-1-2 on the season, while Winthrop moves to 1-4-0 on the season. Freshman forward Barzee Blama would find an open Carlos Santamaria who would find the back of the net in the 4th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Omar Hernandez would find the top left corner of the net off a 30-35 yard shot. The Bears would find the back of the net one more time in the first half off the foot of forward Barzee Blama. Mercer's Tommy Redd would find the back of the net for the final goal of the game, give the Bears a 4-0 win and the victory.

Up next, the Bears will travel to Statesboro, Georgia to play Georgia Southern on Tuesday, September 19 at 7 p.m. ET.
