UNCG leads the all-time series 5-2-3. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie last year in Macon.

LAST TIME OUT
Mercer fell 3-2 at Chattanooga on Thursday night.

In the SoCon opener for both teams, Mercer took the lead in the 24th minute as Kendall Cook crossed a ball from the right corner and Jada Moorman headed home her eighth goal of the year to put Mercer out in front 1-0.

Chattanooga answered back with a goal in the 33rd minute and the two teams went into halftime tied at one.

The Bears had numerous chances in the second half to take the lead and eventually they did. In the 75th minute, Lena Dykes sent in a ball into the box that found the head of freshman Larkin Thomason who scored her eighth goal of the season and put Mercer up 2-1.

Chattanooga scored in the 86th minute off a cross into the box and in the 89th minute directly off a corner kick to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bears.

SCOUTING UNCG
UNCG enters Sunday's game with a 4-5-1 overall record. UNCG defeated The Citadel 2-1 on Thursday in its SoCon opener.

UNCG was picked to finish second in the SoCon in the preseason coaches poll.

The Spartans are averaging 1.00 goal per game and allowing 0.90 goals per game. Their nine goals allowed through 10 games is third fewest in the SoCon.

No player on UNCG has more than two goals on the year, however the Spartans have three players with two goals.
