Mercer Completes First Round At Cullan Brown Collegiate

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Mercer men's golf team finished the first round of the Cullan Brown Collegiate in Lexington, Kentucky on Monday, sitting in 11th as a team. Round two was suspended due to darkness and will be completed on Tuesday, with round three to follow.

Nathan Trodd led the way for the Bears and found himself inside the top five as an individual, carding a two-over 73 in round one. Jacob Uyesato, making his season debut, also had a solid round for Mercer. He shot a four-over 75, good for a tie for 19th on the leaderboard.

Henry Robards and J.T. Herman each carded an eight-over 79 for round one. Trey Mixon rounded out the Mercer lineup with a 13-over 84. As a team, Mercer shot 22-over with a 306.

Kennesaw State and North Alabama tied for first on the team leaderboard after round one, sitting at 11-over. Kennsaw State's Kyle Bachkoksky had the low round of the field, an even 71.

Round two will resume at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Round three will be a shotgun start following the end of round two.
