Ahmad Robinson Named SoCon Player of the Week

This is Robinson's second SoCon Player of the Week recognition this season
MACON, Ga. - Senior guard Ahmad Robinson has been named the Southern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for all contests from Dec. 23 - Dec. 29 as announced Monday afternoon by the league office.
The Bears played in just one game last week, a 71-68 road win at Georgia State on Saturday, Dec. 28. In the game, Robinson scored 21 points to go with 10 assists and nine rebounds, finishing one rebound shy of a triple-double. His 10 assists tied his career high.Â
Robinson also had three steals, marking his sixth game of the season with at least three steals. Robinson leads the SoCon with 2.1 steals per game.
Mercer begins conference play at home on New Year's Day against Chattanooga. Tip-off is at 3 p.m. from Hawkins Arena.
