Bears Come Up Short Against Tar Heels

ATLANTA – Graduate midfielder Chase Cope would lead the Bears with a duo of goals as the Mercer men's lacrosse team falls to No.19 North Carolina, 13-5, in the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

Four different players logged goals for the Bears (1-2) who were playing their third game of the season. Mercer's defense stood strong holding the Tar Heels to a series history low of 13 goals allowed. Colin Kelley led the defense with 24 saves. Saturday's outing was the 2024 season opener for the Tar Hells (1-0).
