Mercer Welcomes Jacksonville For An ASUN Saturday Matchup

MACON – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will welcome the Jacksonville University to Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia on Saturday, March 23 at noon.Â

SERIOUS HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 15th meeting between these two programs. Jacksonville leads the series with a 12-2 record against Mercer. The last time these two programs played, it was a 18-15 shootout which saw the Dolphins defeat the Bears.
LAST TIME OUT
Freshmen attackman Dillion Bush and graduate midfielder Chase Cope  would lead the way for the Bears. Bush put up five goals while Cope found the back of the three times. The Bears were unable to close the gap set by the Knights and were defeated 17-9.

Three different players scored goals for the Bears (2-5). Senior attackman Jack Parolin was the only other Bear who   found the back of the net. Between the pipes Senior Collin Kelley notched 14 saves, this is his fifth straight game with 10+ saves.

Jacksonville is led by John Galloway who is entering his eighth season as head coach for the Dolphins. The Dolphins are currently 4-3 and 1-0 in ASUN conference play. They have had wins over Binghamton, St. John's, High Point, and Robert Morris
The Dolphins current leading point score is senior attackmen Jacob Greiner with 16 points (12 goals, 4 assists). Behind Greiner is sophomore attackman Nicky Brown with 15 points (9 goals, 6 assists). Tied with Brown with 15 points (11 goals, 8 assists) Â is sophomore midfielder Jack Taylor.
