KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Annette Rodriguez-Olvera logged a personal-best time of 5:01.85 on the way to a 14^th place in the 1500m Run to open the weekend of competition for the Bears on Friday evening at the Kennesaw State-hosted Don McGarey Invitational.

Rodriguez-Olvera topped her previous best time in the event by 0.60 seconds and barely missed the top 10 by six seconds. Reese Robertson came within 0.31 seconds of matching her personal-best time in the event before crossing in 30^th place, while Sarah Myers was 0.39 seconds behind Robertson in 31^st place.

The Bears will close out competition at the Don McGarey Invitational on Saturday with a pair of events beginning at 2:30 p.m. with the 800m Run. The Orange & Black will also take part in the 2000m Steeplechase at 3:15 p.m.
