Bears Travel To Pennsylvania To Take On Robert Morris

MACON – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will travel to Moon Township, Pennsylvania to take on conference foe, Robert Morris on Saturday, March 30 at 11 am.

SERIOUS HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 15th meeting between these two programs. Jacksonville leads the series with a 12-2 record against Mercer. The last time these two programs played, it was a 18-15 shootout which saw the Dolphins defeat the Bears.
LAST TIME OUT
Junior midfielder Christian Laureano and graduate midfielder Chase Cope would lead the way for the Bears. Both Cope and Laureano would find the back of the net twice, however the Dolphins leave Macon with 8-7 win over the Bears.

Five different players scored goals for the Bears (2-6). Jackson Hirschy, Dillon Bush, and Zach Basisty each added a goal fir the Bears. Between the pipes graduate goalie Colin Kelley notched 10 saves. After his third save, Kelley surpassed the century mark in saves this season.

Robert Morris is led by Craig McDonald who is entering his third season as head coach for the Colonials. The RMU Colonials are currently 2-6 and 1-2 in ASUN conference play. They have had wins over St. Bonaventure and Detroit Mercy.
The Colonials leading point scorer is Graduate midfielder Elliot Holden with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists). Behind Holden is junior attackman David Burr with 19 points (17 goals, 2 assists). The Colonials third leading point score is graduate midfielder Ben Starkey who has 15 points (14 goals, 1 assist).
