MACON – Graduate midfielder Chase Cope would lead the way for the Bears scoring two goals, however the Colonials defeat the Bears 15-7 on Saturday, March 30 in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

Five different players scored goals for the Bears (2-7). Dillon Bush, Luke Hand, Khory Reid and Christopher Cappelman each added a goal for the Bears. Between the pipes graduate goalkeeper Colin Kelley notched 16 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Robert Morris opened scoring, finding the back of the net twice before Khory Reid answered with a goal of his own. The Colonials led 2-1 heading into the second.
The second quarter would start the same with two Robert Morris goals before Chase Cope would dodge down the ally and score off the run. Robert Morris scored two more again before Christopher Cappelman won a face-off to himself and went coast to coast to score. Robert Morris led the Bears 7-3 at the halftime break.
Robert Morris would score four goals before Dillon Bush would end the RMU run. Chase Cope scored 30 second later off the Parker Junod Assist. The colonials still led heading into the final quarter of the game.
Robert Morris started scoring off in the fourth. This would be followed by a Parker Junod goal. However, Robert Morris scored two more times. Luke Hand would find the back of the net for his first goal in the orange and black. Robert Morris would score one more time before the game ended defeating the Bears 15-7.

Chase Cope is currently on five-game streak of scoring more than 2+ goals a game.

Robert Morris moves to 3-6 on the season and 2-2 in ASUN Conference Play.

The Bears will return to the field on Saturday, April 6 at 12 pm when they travel to Cleveland State in Cleveland, Ohio.
