CLEVELAND – Graduate midfielder Chase Cope led the way for the Bears scoring three goals, however the Vikings defeated the Bears 16-9.

Six different players scored goals for the Bears (2-8). Dillon Bush, Khory Reid, Zach Basisty, and Parker Junod each added a goal for the Bears. Michael Frederick finished the game with two goals, and one assists. Between the pipes graduate goalkeeper Colin Kelley notched 12 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Kyle Cox found Basisty wide open on the crease in the first 39 seconds of the game. Michael Frederick would find the back of the net off another assist from Cox. Cleveland State would answer scoring one more goal in the quarter. Khory Reid and Frederick would score back-to-back to take a 4-1 lead heading into the second.
Cleveland State would score 3 straight to tie the game at 4-4 at the halftime break.
Chase Cope started off scoring for the Bears. However, the Vikings would answer with a goal of their own. Parker Junod would score his 10^th goal of the season following the Vikings goal. Cleveland State would score two more to take a on goal lead. Cope would complete his hattrick with two straight goals. The Vikings would score five more goals before the end of the third. The Vikings lead 12-8.
Cleveland State would start the fourth quarter with four straight goals. Dillon Bush would score the final goal of the game. The Vikings would defeat the Bears 16-9.
