Bears Battle Until The Final Whistle Against Utah

MACON –Sophomore attackman Zach Basisty's first half hattrick led the way offensively, however the Utes fourth quarter run sealed the 20-9 victory over the Bears.

Six different players scored goals for the Bears (2-9). Dillon Bush would find the back of the net twice while, Parker Junod, Christian Laureano, Jack Parolin, and Taylor Dooley each added a goal for the Bears. Between the pipes graduate goalkeeper Colin Kelley notched 17 saves and a save percentage of .459.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Utes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 3 minutes. However, the Bears stormed back scoring two straight with goals from Christian Laureano and Zach Basisty. The Utes would steal the lead back, but Taylor Dooley would tie the game for the Bears. The Utes would score two goals in the final minute of the game. The Utes would lead 5-3 heading into the second quarter.
The Utes would score two goals within the first five minutes of the second quarter. The Bears would bounce back with two straight goals from Dillon Bush and Zach Basisty. The Utes scored with three minutes left in the half. Zach Basisty would complete his hattrick off the assist from Jackson Hirschy. The Utes led 9-6 heading into halftime.
Parker Junod started off scoring for the Bears. However, the Utes would answer. Jack Parolin would score the last goal for the Bears until the final 28 seconds in the fourth.
Utah's 10 goal run in the third and fourth quarter would lead to 20-9 victory over the Bears.
