Bears Hosts Utah Under The Lights Friday Night

MACON – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will welcome Utah to Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia on Friday, April 12 at 7 pm. The first 50 fans into Five Star Stadium will receive a Mercer Lacrosse hat.

SERIOUS HISTORY
Friday's game will be the fifth meeting between these two programs. Utah leads the series with a 3-1 record against the Bears. The last time these two programs played, Utah came out victorious defeating the Bears 12-22.
LAST TIME OUT
Graduate midfielder Chase Cope led the way for the Bears scoring three goals, however the Vikings defeated the Bears 16-9.

Six different players scored goals for the Bears (2-8). Dillon Bush, Khory Reid, Zach Basisty, and Parker Junod each added a goal for the Bears. Michael Frederick finished the game with two goals, and one assists. Between the pipes graduate goalkeeper Colin Kelley notched 12 saves.

Utah is led by Andrew McMinn who is entering his third season as head coach for the Utes. The Utes are currently 7-4 and 5-1 in ASUN conference play. They have had wins over Lindenwood, Robert Morris, Jacksonville, Detroit Mercy, Bellarmine, Vermont, and Marquette.
The Utes current leading point score is sophomore attackman Ryan Stines with 42 points (32 goals, 10 assists). In second is senior attackman Tyler Bradbury with 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists). Behind Bradbury is sophomore attackman Jordan Hyde with 30 points (25 goals, 5 assists)
