Bears Host Alabama State On Saturday

MACON – The Mercer men's tennis team will open up a three-match home stand on Saturday when the Bears suit up to battle red-hot Alabama State in an 11 a.m. contest at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center. Admission is free.

The Bears (4-10) will be looking to tack up their third-straight win in the comfy confines of home when they meet the Hornets (11-1) on campus. Mercer registered a big 4-3 win over Southern Conference rival Wofford in their last action in Macon on March 18.

Alabama State will ride an 11-match win streak into Macon on Saturday, and have not tasted defeat since a season-opening setback at Auburn on January 14. Mercer leads the all-time series with ASU, 10-1. The Hornets got on the board in the series with a 4-3 triumph last season in Montgomery, Ala.
