Track & Field Heads To Georgia Tech On Friday, Saturday

MACON – The Mercer track & field team will pack up its entire show and make the short trip to Atlanta again this weekend to compete in the 44-school Georgia Tech Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility.
The Bears will join Chattanooga as the only Southern Conference squads with entries at the meet. Mercer will open up competition in Atlanta on Friday at 5:30 p.m. when it sends two student-athletes to the Long Jump competition. The Bears are also scheduled to compete in three other disciplines on Friday, including the 100m Dash (1 student-athlete), the 3000m Steeplechase (2) and the 5000m Run (6).

Mercer will open up competition on Saturday in the Triple Jump at 3 p.m. and wrap up their stay in Atlanta by debuting its 4x400m Relay squad at 5:30 p.m. The Orange & Black will compete in five other events on Day 2 of the meet as well.
