Bears Travel To Charlotte For Final Road Test Against Queens On Saturday

MACON – The Mercer men's lacrosse program will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to take on Queens in the final away game of the season on Saturday, April 20 at 11 pm.

SERIOUS HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the second meeting between these two programs. Mercer leads the series with 1-0 following last years dominant 18-5 victory over the Royals at Five Star Stadium on April 22, 2023.
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore attackman Zach Basisty's would score the first goal of the game, however the Bears were unable to close the early first half gap and would fall to the Falcons 20-5.

Five different players scored goals for the Bears (2-10). Jackson Hirschy, Dillon Bush, Thomas Strong, and Ryan Brooks each found the back of the net for the Bears after Basisty opened scoring for the Bears. Between the pipes graduate goalkeeper Colin Kelley notched 10 saves while junior Rand Paddack had two saves during his quarter of play.
SCOUTING QUEENS
Queens is led by Nick Colpitts, who is entering his first season as head coach for the Royals after spending the 2023 season as an assistant. The Royals are currently 2-9 with wins over Hampton and Lindenwood. The Royals are currently 1-6 in ASUN play and sit in 9th place in the conference. Â
