CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Junior Annette Rodriguez-Olvera toppled a 3-year-old school record by more than a minute on the way to a sixth-place finish in the 10000m Run that highlighted action for the Mercer track & field team on Friday evening at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational in southeast Tennessee.

Rodriguez-Olvera was one of six Bears to compete at the Lee University-hosted event on Friday. Junior Nikki Harris just missed her previous personal best time on the way to a fifth-place performance in the 800m Run, while sophomore Iris Porter led the way for the Orange & Black with a 21^st-place showing in the 5000m Run as well.

MU will close out action at the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational on Saturday when Olivia Jones competes in the 3000m Steeplechase. The Bears are also scheduled to take part in five events at the South Florida Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
