Mercer To Compete In Florida, Tennessee This Weekend

MACON – The Mercer track & field team will resume its 2024 regular season schedule on Friday and Saturday when the Bears split their squad and head to the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational and the South Florida Invitational.

Fans unable to make the trip for either meet can still follow the progress of both via live results links provided by the respective athletics departments.

The Orange & Black opens competition in the Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational on Friday at 4:10 p.m. with the 1500m Run, and will close out Day 1 action in Cleveland, Tenn., with both the 5000m and 10000m Runs. The Bears have entries in just one event on Saturday – the 3000m Steeplechase which is scheduled to begin at 11:05 a.m.

Mercer will lift the lid on its competition at the South Florida Invitational on Saturday beginning with the Long Jump at 2 p.m. The Bears are also scheduled to compete in the 4x100m Relay, the 100m and 400m Dash and the 400m Hurdles.
