Mercer Continues SoCon Play At Home Saturday Against UNCG

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's tennis team welcomes the UNCG Spartans to Macon on Saturday in a SoCon match. The match is scheduled to start at noon from the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

Mercer is 5-4 all-time against UNCG. The Bears won last year's meeting in Greensboro, 6-1.

The Bears will look to get back on track after dropping their last match to Furman. Emilia Cosatto is coming off a strong showing against the Paladins as she and Lea Falentin won their doubles match and Cosatto won her singles match in three sets as well.

UNCG enters Saturday's match with a 3-15 overall record and 1-3 record in SoCon matches. UNCG is also coming off a 6-1 loss to Furman. The Spartans lone conference win this season was against Western Carolina.

Freshman Lauren Thomson owns the best singles record for UNCG at 8-7.
