Sunday's game will be the 13th all-time meeting between the two teams. UNCG leads the series 5-2-5. Last season, Mercer jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Spartans responded by scoring the next three goals as the teams settled for a 3-3 draw in Greensboro.

Kelsie Henton and Peyton Kreul each scored and Avery Parker earned her first career shutout as Mercer defeated VMI 2-0 on the road Sunday afternoon from Patchin Field in Lexington, Virginia.
