Bears Visit The Citadel Sunday

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer team is on the road to take on The Citadel Sunday afternoon from Charleston, South Carolina. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. from Washington Light Infantry Field.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game will be the 16th all-time meeting between the two teams. Mercer leads the series 12-1-2. Last season, Mercer defeated The Citdael 3-1 in Macon.

Mercer is coming off a tough 3-0 loss at home to conference leading Samford on Thursday night.

SCOUTING THE CITADEL
The Citadel enters Sunday's game with a 2-3-2 conference record. The Bulldogs were picked to finish ninth out of 10 teams in the Preseason SoCon Coaches Poll.

The Bulldogs are 3-3-0 at home this season. The Citadel is coming off a 1-1 draw at UNCG on Thursday.

This season, The Citadel has scored 16 goals while having allowed 23 goals in 14 games. The Citadel has scored more than one goal in only two of its seven conference games.

The Citadel is led offensively by graduate forward Alice Williamson who has four goals on the season. Senior midfielder Elisa Fuentes is behind Williamson with three goals.

The expected starting goalie for the Bulldogs is redshirt junior Zoe Santos who owns a 1.46 goals against average and a .750 saves percentage.
