
Kim And Scheck Tied For 10th After First Round At The Ally

WEST POINT, Miss. – Riley Kim and Katie Scheck each carded rounds of 1-under, 71 and are tied for 10th place after the first round of The Ally from Old Wavery Golf Course in West Point, Mississippi.
As a team, the Bears are in a tie for seventh place out of 15 teams at 9-over, 297. Arkansas and Florida are tied atop the leaderboard at 8-under, 280.
Kim's round of 1-under, 71 consisted of three birdies, all par 4's. As for Scheck she had just one bogey on her card with birdies on holes No. 3 and No. 17. Kim and Scheck are just three shots back of the leaders who are at 4-under after 18 holes.
Mercer's 60 pars on the day were the second most in the field, just one less than Ole Miss who had 61 pars and is in fourth place. The Bears were one of the better teams on the par 3's on Monday as they went 2-over par on them which was tied for the fourth best team score on the par 3's. Both of Scheck's birdies were on par 3's as she finished two-under on them which was tied for the best score in the field of 84 golfers.
The second round will begin Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET / 8:30 a.m. CT with Bhoomi Jagtap the first Bear to tee off.
