MACON – After a hard-fought 90 minutes at Betts Stadium, the Mercer Bears (4-7-4, 2-0-1 SoCon) drew 1-1 in their non-conference finale against Jacksonville (4-6-4, 1-1-2 ASUN) on Tuesday night.

Will Taylor bagged his first goal of his young collegiate career in the 41st minute for the Bears. The freshman from Lawrenceville, Georgia, now has six points on the season. Taylor now has a goal contribution in four of his last five matches.

The score would remain in Mercer's favor until the 89th minute when Joshua Izu found the equalizer to split the result.

Mercer looks ahead for its penultimate conference match this Saturday. The Bears will be honoring and playing for Baba Agbaje. The third annual Baba Agbaje memorial game is scheduled for 12:30 against VMI.
