Bears Return To Action In Knoxville For Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's golf team is is set to open play at its third tournament of the fall season as they travel to Knoxville, Tennessee to compete in the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Tennessee at Cherokee Country Club.

The 54-hole, three-day event will see teams play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Sunday's opening round for the Bears will start at 10:20 a.m. as Mahima Vurupatur will be the first golfer off the tee for the Bears. Mercer will be playing alongside competitors from Chattanooga and Memphis.
This is Mercer's third tournament of the fall season after finishing tied for 10th out of 20 teams at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado.
Katie Scheck enters the tournament after being named the Southern Conference Golfer of the Week after finishing tied for 12th out of 100 goflers at the Gofweek Red Sky Classic. Scheck finished the tournament at 4-under, 212.
