MACON, Ga. -Â The Mercer men's basketball team welcomes Oglethorpe to Macon Sunday afternoon. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. inside Hawkins Arena.

Armani Mighty recorded his fourth double-double of the season with a game high 22 points and Mercer's defense locked down the Panthers in the second half as Mercer earned a 78-67 win over Georgia State Tuesday night from Hawkins Arena.
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game will be the 37th all-time meeting between Mercer and Oglethorpe. Mercer leads the series, 26-10. The two teams last met on Dec. 7, 2016 when Mercer won, 98-41.
NEED TO KNOW
In Mercer's win over Georgia State, the Bears held the Panthers to just 21 second half points on 25 percent shooting from the floor.
SCOUTING OGLETHORPE
Oglethorpe is a Division III school in Brookhaven, just north of Atlanta. The Stormy Petrels play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) conference.

Last season Oglethorpe finished with a 16-10 overall record and went 7-5 in conference play to finish fourth out of seven teams in the SAA.
This season, Oglethorpe returned 13 players from last year's team. Oglethorpe is averaging 84.4 points per game and allowing 87.4 points per game. They are shooting 47.3 percent from the field which ranks second among eight teams in their conference.
Oglethorpe's leading scorer is Preseason First Team All-SAA selection Malachi Dooley who is averaging 22.9 points per game. He is shooting an excellent percentage from the floor at 55.9 percent for the year.
