HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Mercer graduate student J.T. Herman recorded a 67 in his second round of the day to find himself tied atop the leaderboard after day one of the Wexford Intercollegiate. Herman sits at four-under for the event with one round left to play.

As a team, the Bears are tied for seventh at 17-over, shooting 303 in round one and 290 in round two.

Trey Mixon shot eight-over for the day for the team's second best score, finding himself tied for 49th on the individual leaderboard. Nathan Trodd, Cole Hanson and Henry Robards each ended the day at nine-over, good for a tie for 54th in the field.

Xavier finished the day at three-over to hold the top spot as a team. On the individual side, Herman is joined by Herman Huus of Appalachian State and Andrew Kaye of Cleveland State in first place at four-under.
