Three Freshmen Grab Top 10 Finishes At 49ers Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Freshmen Claire Bauer, Reagan Cooke and Mackenzie Crowe all logged top-10 finishes in their collegiate track & field debuts to highlight action for the Mercer track & field team on final-day action at the Charlotte-hosted 49er Classic on Saturday.

Cooke logged a time of 10:53.75 on the way to a seventh place tally, while Crowe (10:57.81) and Bauer (11:19.19) crossed in eighth and 10^th place, respectively. Senior Reese Robertson (11:38.84) rounded out action for the Orange & Black in 14^th place.

MU's distance squad is scheduled to compete at the Kennesaw State-hosted Don McGarey Invitational, March 28-29. Mercer's sprinters and jumpers will return to action, April 4-5, when they head to central Alabama for the Troy-hosted Doc Anderson Multi & Invitational.
