
Dubnik Finishes Runner-Up; Bears Finish Third At SoCon Championship

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – Mikayla Dubnik carded three rounds of 1-over, 73 to finish as runner-up with Mercer finishing in third place at the SoCon Championship from Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, South Carolina.
As a team, Mercer finished the tournament at 54-over, 918 to finish in third place in the 9-team field behind Chattanooga and SoCon Champion Furman who finished the tournament with a team score of 34-over, 898.
Dubnik finished the tournament at 3-over, 219, three shots back behind SoCon champion Audrey Ryu who won with a score of even par, 216. It was the best finish in the SoCon Championship in Dubnik's career as she fittingly did so in her last collegiate tournament as a graduating senior.
Dubnik tied with Ryu of Furman for the most birdies in the field with 12. She also played the par 5's at 6-under for the tournament which was second best in the field behind Ryu.

Mercer finished the tournament with the third most birdies (28) and pars (145) in the field. Mercer and Furman were the two teams who really took advantage of the par 5's as Furman led the field at 12-under on them and the Bears were the only other team to play the par 5's under par at 4-under over the three days.
